Rookie Marching Camp Starts This Week!

Incoming freshmen will get their first taste of marching with the Dragon Band this week at the band's annual 3-day Rookie Marching Camp. New marchers from Carroll Middle School and Dawson Middle School will join Dragon Band Leadership and band staff to learn the fundamentals of marching with the Dragon Band.

Rookie Camp serves as an introduction to Summer Band Camp, which begins on July 31, 2017.

Camp runs from Tues. May 23rd through Thurs. May 25th, from 4:30-6:30pm, at Carroll High School (800 N White Chapel in Southlake).

Students should wear comfortable clothes (shorts, t-shirt, athletic shoes), and should bring their instrument, a large water bottle or jug, sunscreen, and a hat if desired. It's also important to eat a good lunch so you have energy for the afternoon.

School-issued instruments will be checked out to those students who require them.
