Next Band Booster Meeting

Our next Carroll Band Booster General Meeting is Tuesday, August 3, at 7:00 pm in the Bridge at White's Chapel United Methodist Church.  A parent of each band student is required to attend.  Registration packets will be handed out that night.

At the UIL Concert & Sightreading Conest:

  The Carroll Dragon Band Earned its 27th UIL Sweepstakes Award

  Our varsity band, Wind Ensemble, was one of only 3 varsity bands in our region to earn straight First Divisions

  CISD was as one of only 3 districts in our region who had three bands earn Superior ratings in Concert & Sightreading

 
Jazz Band Wins Awards at Essentially Ellington

Jazz Band I won the award for Best Brass Section and Stephen Falkenberg won the award for Best Bass Sound at the Essentially Ellington Competition in NYC May 8-10.

July 29 and July 30 - Marching Leadership

August 2 - Marching Leadership, Incoming Freshmen and New Marchers, and Drumline

August 3 - 4 - All Band Members (Level 1 and Level 2)

August 5 - 13 - All Band Members - however, Level 2 are no longer required to attend marching rehearsals from 7:30 am - 11:00 am.

Please log-in to the secure section of the website and then click here to see a detailed schedule and other helpful information.  Please note that the recent mailout indicated that Level 2 band members are required to attend marching rehearsals through August 5.  That is not correct.  Level 2 band members only have to attend marching rehearsals on August 3 and 4.  Level 2 band members are required to attend all playing rehearsals August 3 - 13, however.

 
Mandatory Parent Information Meeting
Home - Band Updates

A mandatory Parent Information Meeting will take place during our August General Booster Meeting on Tuesday, August 3, at 7:00 pm, in The Bridge at White's Chapel United Methodist Church.  Exciting new information about the upcoming year will be shared, policies will be explained, and First Day Packets will be handed out to parents.

Completed First Day Packets are to be returned by PARENTS on Friday, August 6, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, in the hallway behind the CHS band hall or Saturday, August 7, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, in the CHS band hall.  Increased fees will apply for fees not paid by the August 7 due date unless alternate arrangements have been made in advance with Norman Rosenberg at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. All-Region Jazz Clinics - New Dates
Home - Band Updates

The All-Region Jazz Clinic scheduled for Thursday, July 29, has been cancelled.  Two new sessions have been scheduled for Monday, August 2, 1:30 - 2:30, and Thursday, August 18, 4:00 - 5:00.  The cancellation and new dates have been added to the Dragon Band Website Calendar.

 
Senior & Leadership Pictures
Home - Band Updates

Senior and Leadership pictures will be taken early morning Wednesday (time to be announced), August 4, at the fountain in front of City Hall in Southlake Town Square.  Seniors should wear jeans, black t-shirts, letter jackets and tennis shoes.  Leadership should wear jeans, band polos, and tennis shoes.
