Disney Travelers,

Please sign up for the Disney Remind (text @dragons2dw to 81010). We will begin sending Disney Reminds soon!

Students should wear their Dragon Band Polo to travel on Wednesday. Everyone needs to pack a sack dinner for Wednesday night since we will be flying at dinner time.

Roommate lists, flight assignments, bus assignments, and chaperone groups will be posted in the Band Hall on Monday morning. Students should pick up their Disney string backpack and t-shirt during band class on Monday and Tuesday. The backpacks will also have a printed itinerary, flight details, what to bring, and the scavenger hunt hints in them. Make sure you bring the backpack, t-shirt and the itinerary with you on the trip! We will take a group picture in our trip t-shirts on Friday morning before we enter Magic Kingdom.

Pack your items in small or medium sized bags. NO OVERSIZED BAGS are allowed on the plane. Be sure to wrap your instrument well so it does not move around in your case. Medium and small instruments will be your carry on. You will be allowed 1 personal item (Disney string backpack or smaller) in addition to your instrument. Students 16 and over must bring a photo ID for TSA screening at the airport.

We will meet near the ticket counters at the airport on Wednesday. Please refer to the Flight Details for a full explanation so you will be prepared. Parents are welcome to drop students off or come in to the terminal - that is up to you. Directors, chaperones and students will proceed through security together.

Wednesday March 21 to Sunday March 25, 2018

$1,420 per student
Based on quad occupancy

$1,550 per Chaperone
Based on double occupancy

Details:

The Dragon Band is excited to announce that we are headed to Disney! As with all of our band trips, this trip to Florida will involve a musical performance or competition, as well as several days touring the parks as we promote friendships and band cohesiveness. These trips are a privilege for the students as well as the chaperones and directors.

While every effort is made to provide a reasonably priced spring trip event for all eligible Band and Colorguard students, we traditionally replace the “usual” spring band trip to Corpus Christi with a more costly and complex trip every 3rd or 4th year.

Please note: A student must be enrolled in a Spring Concert Band, or a Fall and Spring Colorguard class in order to participate in this performance opportunity. Varsity guard members are expected to participate in the WGI Southwest Power Regional Competition.
